Job Requirements
- Minimum of three years restaurant or retail experience, or combined experience and education
- Experience with sales building, P and L statements, recruiting, and training
- Proven track record of successful hiring and retention
- Ability to work early morning, evenings, late night, weekends, and some holidays, schedule demands may change
- ServeSafe certified
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of three years restaurant or retail management experience
- Experience with sales growth, profit and loss statements, recruiting, and training
- Proven successful track record in hiring and employee retention
- ServeSafe certification
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to upholding safety and quality standards
Job Duties
- Reinforce Border Foods core values including accountability, integrity, family, excellence, teamwork, and empowerment
- Manage the entire restaurant operation ensuring great food and friendly service
- Guide and support team members and shift leaders to complete duties and serve safe, quality food
- Schedule, deploy, and monitor team performance while holding members accountable for standards
- Maintain point of sale system functionality and verify accuracy of updates
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and all local, state, and federal laws
- Plan strategically for short-term and long-term restaurant success including financial adjustments
- Source, hire, and develop team members and conduct new hire orientation
- Control labor, inventory, and minimize loss through cash handling policies
- Respond to team member questions, resolve issues, and create a safe workplace
- Motivate team through active listening, communication, and recognition culture
- Handle customer complaints and issues professionally and effectively
- Provide learning and development opportunities, coaching, and career path guidance
- Foster sharing of ideas and use of tools to promote personal and business growth
