Known for its people-first mantra, Border Foods prioritizes the growth, well-being, and satisfaction of every team member, from cooks and cashiers to restaurant managers and beyond. With a commitment to excellence and a culture fostering learning and evolution, Border Foods operates with strong core values—Accountability, Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, and Empowerment. This family-oriented company creates supportive environments where employees thrive and guests receive memorable dining experiences. With a widespread presence and a passion for quality, Border Foods continues to expand and uphold high standards across all its locations.
As a General Manager at Border Foods, you will serve as the heart and soul of your restaurant, responsible for the smooth operation and financial success of your location. Your mission will be to uphold our Core Values while creating a safe, welcoming environment that nurtures both team members and guests. This role includes building and leading a high-performing team that consistently delivers outstanding food quality and exceptional customer service. The General Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering teamwork, accountability, and excellence. You will engage in strategic planning, financial management including profit and loss oversight, hiring and training, and labor control. The position also involves ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and local, state, and federal regulations.
Border Foods offers top pay in the industry, with General Managers able to earn between $50,000 and $100,000 annually, including substantial bonus potential of up to $40,000. Besides an attractive salary, dedicated performers are rewarded with an exciting annual trip to Mexico, reflecting Border Foods’ appreciation of outstanding leadership and dedication. Comprehensive benefits are available to all employees, including part-time team members, such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with education programs, tuition reimbursement, scholarships, paid time off, and free meals. Staff also benefit from a stimulating work culture that encourages career advancement and continued personal development.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of three years of experience in restaurant or retail management, with proficiency in sales building, recruiting, P&L interpretation, and staff training. Strong leadership capabilities paired with excellent communication skills are essential for managing diverse teams and creating memorable customer experiences. The role requires flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Border Foods values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering an inclusive environment for all individuals regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. Joining Border Foods means becoming part of a thriving family that values respect, integrity, and continuous growth, while contributing meaningfully to the company’s mission of improving lives through exceptional dining experiences.
