The General Manager position at Shake Shack is a full-time role primarily stationed at the Cary, NC location. This leadership role focuses on steering the restaurant to deliver excellence in hospitality, operational efficiency, and financial performance. The General Manager is responsible for cultivating a motivated and high-performing team through effective coaching and development, overseeing inventory control, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and executing company policies effectively. A pivotal part of this role is to manage the restaurant's financial health by controlling budgets, payroll, and scheduling while driving sales and profitability. The General Manager also champions local community engagement by promoting the brand through word-of-mouth and events. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in fast-paced restaurant management with demonstrated experience in people management, financial oversight, and a passion for hospitality. Job Requirements

Minimum 3 years of restaurant general management experience
Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume restaurant environment
Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including personnel management, food preparation, purchasing, sanitation, health codes, and security
Ability to learn quickly and train team members on operational procedures
Proven leadership experience with a focus on coaching and motivating staff
Strong financial acumen including experience with budget management and profitability goals
Experience managing P&L responsibilities
Food handler certification preferred
Availability to work flexible hours as required

Job Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of restaurant general management experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of restaurant operations, including personnel management, food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation and health codes, and security
Ability to learn and train others on all aspects of the Shack operations
Demonstrated ability to champion hospitality and motivate team members
Strong leadership skills with a focus on coaching and achieving excellence
Knowledgeable in all financial aspects of business operations
Minimum 3 years of P&L responsibilities
Food handler certification, preferred
Willingness to work flexible hours
