The role of the Restaurant Manager, also referred to as the Hospitality Captain, is a vital position within our team. This position is far more than typical restaurant management; it is about leading with energy, inspiring others, and ensuring each guest experiences superior service aligned with our 1-4-7 philosophy. As the driving force behind the restaurant's daily operations, the Restaurant Manager is tasked with teaching, training, and leading all team members during their shifts. This includes coaching, counseling, and fostering the growth and development of team members to build a motivated, engaged, and high-performing crew.
In addition to leadership, the Restaurant Manager is responsible for maximizing sales and profitability, controlling expenses, and meeting budgetary targets. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or high school equivalency required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid manager food safety certification or any other food/alcohol certification as required by state law
- Able to stand for 10 hours and lift at least 50 pounds
- Good hearing for safety and accurate communication
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must have reliable transportation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Valid manager food safety certification or ability to obtain one
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in restaurant management or hospitality industry
- Familiarity with food safety and alcohol service regulations
Job Duties
- Lead and model the 1-4-7 philosophy to deliver excellent guest service
- Develop and motivate team members through recruitment, communication, and training plans
- Identify strategies to retain and develop top talent
- Coach and discipline team members while ensuring adherence to brand standards
- Achieve positive financial outcomes by meeting sales goals and optimizing profit and loss
- Maintain restaurant facilities to meet brand standards consistently
- Ensure compliance with food safety practices, liquor laws, and labor regulations
