This job posting is for a Restaurant General Manager position at a KFC location that is independently owned and operated by a KFC franchisee. As a Restaurant General Manager, you serve as the number one leader and are responsible for driving the success of the restaurant. This role is pivotal in ensuring that operational goals are met or exceeded by leading a dedicated team of employees. Your leadership will directly impact the customer experience, from ensuring cleanliness and food safety to inspiring your team to deliver exceptional friendly service at every customer interaction.

The Restaurant General Manager will own the success metrics of the restaurant, guiding and mentoring the team to achieve key performance indicators related to customer satisfaction, employee development, operational compliance, and financial management. This includes responsibility for managing day-to-day operations, driving business growth, and fostering a positive, collaborative environment known within the KFC family. Key duties include overseeing training and onboarding new team members, managing payroll and employee documentation, maintaining compliance with company policies, and ensuring the store is operated safely and efficiently.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior management experience in a restaurant or related setting
  • Ability to lead and inspire a diverse team
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Physical capability to handle lifting 25-85 pounds
  • Extended standing ability
  • Normal hearing range for safety alarms
  • Basic cash handling skills
  • Confidentiality in handling company information.

Job Duties

  • Ownership of your restaurant's success metrics and lead restaurant team to reach goals
  • Lead the guest experiences in your restaurant that includes friendly interactions, a clean restaurant and fresh meals
  • Grow and mentor your KFC family through training, development and onboarding new team members
  • Lead communications of your team's goals, upcoming promotions, business updates, etc
  • Inspire the overall positive and collaborative family environment
  • Partner with other Restaurant General Managers and Area Leaders to grow and move the business forward
  • Reviewing and submitting payroll
  • Completing employee new hire paperwork
  • Completing employee change forms and termination forms
  • Ensure the store is operated in a safe and clean manner at all times
  • Ensure work schedules are adequate to meet customer service requirements but are also cost effective
  • Ensure that the store is operated in compliance with Company policies and procedures
  • Daily record keeping of the store financial and production activities
  • Maintaining documentation as specified by their Area Coach, Director of Operations and Human Resources.
