Founded in 1994 and launching its first franchised location in 1997, Wingstop has grown rapidly to become a leader in the quick-service restaurant industry, serving billions of wings and delivering a unique flavor experience to customers nationwide. The company prides itself on its mission to serve the world flavor and continues to innovate its menu and operational excellence to maintain its place as one of the fastest-growing brands in the sector. Wingstop’s commitment to quality, community involvement, and superior customer experience distinguishes it in a competitive market, making it a sought-after employer for those passionate about the foodservice industry and brand growth.
The General Manager role at Wingstop carries ultimate responsibility for the successful operation, growth, and profitability of an assigned National Franchised Restaurant. This full-time position involves providing strong leadership and direction to ensure the restaurant complies with all company policies, procedures, standards, and applicable federal, state, and local laws. The General Manager plays a pivotal role in maximizing sales and profitability by implementing proven systems and processes that uphold quality, service, and cleanliness. This role entails recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, developing, and retaining a best-in-class team capable of delivering the Wingstop brand and its flavor experience to customers.
Successful candidates will develop and execute both short- and long-term business plans and budgets designed to promote strategic growth in sales and profits. They will also manage the financial performance of their restaurant through effective use of profit and loss management, budgeting, and revenue generation techniques. A significant aspect of the role includes continually assessing market conditions, adapting quickly to competitive pressures, and leveraging marketing programs to drive both in-house and off-premise sales.
General Managers at Wingstop are expected to administer business practices with integrity, ensuring compliance with all employment laws and fostering a safe, productive, and welcoming workplace. They must be equipped to enforce company values and operational philosophies through consistent role modeling and education. The role demands strong multitasking abilities, business acumen, and an entrepreneurial spirit to drive team performance and restaurant success. Wingstop offers a dynamic work environment that encourages innovation, community involvement, and personal and professional growth for its leaders.
