DDO is currently seeking a Restaurant General Manager to join their team at Pizza Hut, which is part of the larger YUM! Brands family. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional dining experiences while ensuring profitability and operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the Area Coach, the Restaurant General Manager will manage a Pizza Hut restaurant by adhering to company policies and guidelines to maximize customer satisfaction and profits. This position is hands-on and involves training employees, responding to customer service needs, and modeling professional behavior within the restaurant.

The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for leading by example, fostering a culture of recognition, and motivating employees to reach operational excellence. They will drive people capability by recruiting talented operators, building a developed team of managers and team members, and leading performance management processes. The role also includes responsibilities such as executing marketing programs, maintaining safety and health standards, controlling labor and supply ordering, and managing day-to-day restaurant operations with sales ranging from $500,000 to $2 million and daily transactions between 200 and 500.

In addition to operational management, the Restaurant General Manager focuses on growing the brand, sales, and profits by controlling profit and loss, maintaining equipment and facilities, and analyzing financial data to guide corrective actions. The role demands a leader who is passionate about quality food, service, cleanliness, and speed standards, while also being able to manage physical activities like stocking, cleaning, and lifting as part of daily duties.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must pass a background check criteria
  • 2-4 years of operational management experience in the Quick Service Restaurant industry or retail environment including Profit & Loss responsibility
  • Basic business math and accounting skills to manage Profit & Loss and strong analytical/decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Good oral/written communication skills and exceptional team-building capability
  • Basic personal computer literacy
  • Passionate about excellence in execution of quality food, service, cleanliness and speed standards
  • Dynamic, energetic and positive leader
  • Able to stock shelves and coolers
  • Able to clean parking lot and surrounding grounds
  • Able to sweep and mop floors
  • Able to lift, carry out trash containers, and place in an outside bin
  • Able to tolerate standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs. and stooping during 80% of shift time

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, college or university degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of operational management experience in the Quick Service Restaurant industry or retail environment including Profit & Loss responsibility
  • Basic business math and accounting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Basic personal computer literacy
  • Demonstrated track record of workplace achievement in selection, coaching and development of managerial employees
  • Proven ability to drive customer satisfaction, financial performance and employee satisfaction

Job Duties

  • Drive culture, problem solve, resolve conflicts, communicate and motivate to drive results through others
  • Recruit and equip high quality operators to deliver great customer experiences
  • Build a healthy and robust bench of developed and capable managers and team members
  • Lead performance management process for all employees in their restaurant
  • Lead by example - be a culture champion and live by Pizza Hut standards
  • Ensure complete and timely execution of corporate and local marketing programs
  • Control profit and loss by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions
