The role of Restaurant General Manager at Church's Chicken is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing all daily operations at a single restaurant location. This full-time position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about providing guests with a high-quality and value-driven dining experience while maintaining a clean and safe environment. The General Manager leads by example and is accountable for managing the restaurant’s business activities, including achieving sales goals, controlling expenses to meet budgets, and cultivating a work environment that motivates team members to excel and grow.

In this role, the Restaurant General Manager will directly supervise key staff members such as Assistant Restaurant General Managers and Shift Leaders. The number of direct reports may vary depending on the restaurant's sales volume and geographic location. The General Manager plays a critical role in creating a world-class guest experience by ensuring service is friendly, prompt, accurate, and memorable. They are also responsible for driving sales through effective marketing and upselling strategies, maintaining operational excellence, and enforcing strict safety and cleanliness standards. Additionally, the General Manager leads recruitment, training, and development efforts, fostering a culture where employees feel engaged and recognized for their contributions.

Other key responsibilities include managing inventory and food costs, overseeing equipment maintenance, handling all administrative tasks such as cash handling and reporting, and resolving guest complaints promptly using a customer-first approach. The role also requires eligibility to work in the United States and possession of a valid driver’s license with proof of insurance. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior restaurant management experience preferred
  • must be eligible to work in the United States
  • must possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle with proof of insurance
  • ability to handle administrative tasks and paperwork
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge or passion for the restaurant business
  • basic PC skills including email and typing
  • ability to learn internal software systems
  • prior exposure to labor cost reporting and operating statements is desirable
  • strong integrity and ability to pass background checks
  • excellent leadership and team management skills
