The General Manager role at Zaxbys is a leadership position central to the success of the restaurant. The General Manager oversees and directs all aspects of restaurant operations while embodying the brand's core values. The manager must also actively engage with the community to increase sales, manage costs and losses, complete performance evaluations, and maintain compliance with all company, federal, state, and local regulations. Job Requirements
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
- Open availability to work at least 5 days and 48 hours per week
- Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Successful background check and motor vehicle report
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members
- High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
- 3-5 years of management experience required
- Restaurant management experience preferred
Job Qualifications

- Previous restaurant management experience preferred
Job Duties
- Complete all training requirements including Zaxbys General Manager Development Plan and Operations Excellence Capstone class
- Complete food safety certification and manager certification
- Ensure that the restaurant delivers great experiences to guests
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels by sourcing, interviewing, hiring, retaining, and recognizing top performers
- Provide proper training, ongoing mentoring, coaching, and development to team members while holding them accountable
- Create effective work schedules timely to drive sales and control labor costs
- Plan and delegate shift assignments and communicate expectations
- Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld
- Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale by providing guidance and leadership
- Manage profitability through driving sales, controlling costs, developing team members, and ensuring operational standards
- Build community relationships to increase sales and provide outstanding service
- Control costs and losses and ensure compliance with all guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Complete performance reviews for crew members and assist with manager reviews
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Utilize management tools and keep neat, accurate, and current records
- Review performance metrics daily and develop action plans to enhance profitability, sales, and guest experience
- Handle and report guest and team member complaints, concerns, and injuries timely and with respect
- Maintain flexibility and perform beyond position parameters
- Ensure team safety and adherence to safety guidelines
- Escalate concerns to supervisors when necessary
- Perform all duties necessary to ensure restaurant operations function properly
