Job Description

This job opportunity is offered by an independent franchisee of Taco Bell, one of the most recognized quick-service restaurant chains specializing in Mexican-inspired foods in the United States. Unlike working directly for Taco Bell Corporation or its affiliates, being employed by a franchisee means you will be working directly for a local independent business owner who operates under the Taco Bell brand. This structure gives the franchisee the autonomy to set their own wage and benefits programs, which may vary between franchise owners.

The franchise operates a fast-paced restaurant environment where the focus is on delivering quality food, excellent customer service, cleanliness, and hospitality governed by Taco Bell's systems known as CHAMPS (Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Hospitality) and LAST (Look, Ask, Smile, and Thank). The role you will be undertaking is essential to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant to meet these standards. This position is typically full-time and involves active management duties to maintain the brand's reputation and operational standards.

As a Restaurant Manager under this franchisee, you will have comprehensive responsibilities including managing all facets of the restaurant's day-to-day operations. This involves leading a team of employees to create a positive and cooperative atmosphere for both staff and customers, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction. You will be instrumental in executing policies and procedures carefully designed to promote safety, quality, and efficiency across the restaurant. Your leadership skills will be tested as you train, evaluate, and counsel team members to uphold the brand's operational standards.

Your role will also include budgeting tasks, staffing decisions, inventory control, and equipment maintenance reporting, demonstrating your importance in both front-of-house and back-of-house management. You will need strong communication skills to direct employee teams effectively and interact politely and professionally with customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for handling stressful situations calmly and maintaining attention to detail in a noisy, fast-paced environment where the temperature can be extreme at times.

The position requires a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle to attend to company business periodically, along with current liability insurance in your name. Communication is vital, so you must have a home or cellular telephone to remain reachable during your employment. Typically, this role involves one to two years of experience or training to fully grasp the responsibilities involved. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those seeking to build a career in restaurant management within a respected and well-recognized brand framework but with the personal touch of local business ownership.
