As a SONIC Drive-In General Manager, you hold a key leadership role responsible for the overall management and operation of the Drive-In. This includes overseeing daily activities to ensure that every visitor receives high-quality food and service in a clean, safe, and efficient manner. The General Manager is the highest management position within the Drive-In and carries full accountability for its success and operations. This role requires a hands-on, dynamic leader who can manage the team effectively, foster a positive work culture, and drive business growth.
Your responsibilities include hiring, training, and developing staff, ensuring that they are well-equipped to deliver a SuperSONIC experience to guests consistently. Leading with a Fair, Firm, and Fun management style, you will be expected to inspire your team, resolve employee concerns thoughtfully, and set clear performance expectations. You will also play a critical role in managing financial aspects, including profit and loss statements, to meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual goals.
The General Manager will cultivate a positive and upbeat atmosphere that makes work enjoyable for employees, enabling them to understand their roles and the importance of their contributions to the overall success of the Drive-In. Using performance metrics, you will identify opportunities to improve operations and guest satisfaction. The position may require working irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the nature of the foodservice industry.
