Job Description
This job opportunity is with a franchisee of Taco Bell, which operates independently from Taco Bell Corp. or its affiliated companies. As a franchisee, this entity runs its own Taco Bell restaurant and is responsible for hiring and managing its team separately. Franchisees are independent business owners who set their own wage and benefits programs; therefore, compensation and benefits can vary. This franchisee is committed to maintaining the high standards synonymous with the Taco Bell brand while operating under its own management. The franchisee is dedicated to fostering an environment that promotes quality, service, cleanliness, and hospitality, known collectively as CHAMPS, alongside the operational standards prescribed by Taco Bell’s LAST system.
The role is primarily focused on the efficient and orderly management of the assigned Taco Bell restaurant. The Assistant Manager or Restaurant Manager ensures that the restaurant operates in strict adherence to Taco Bell’s operational systems while delivering a superior customer experience. This position encompasses several responsibilities including staff management, inventory control, customer service excellence, and compliance with safety protocols. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving a positive atmosphere among both employees and customers through effective leadership and communication skills.
This role demands a proactive individual with a thorough understanding of food service management. The manager must be capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment by balancing customer service with operational duties. They are responsible for training employees in alignment with CHAMPS and LAST, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring the restaurant upholds Taco Bell’s standards for quality and hospitality. Managers continuously engage with customers, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction to build customer loyalty.
Operational duties also include assisting with budget decisions, ensuring adequate staffing, and maintaining inventory control. This role requires excellent organizational skills to prioritize workload effectively, focusing first on serving customers, then maintaining the dining area, and finally overseeing the back-of-house operations. The manager must maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations and demonstrate excellent problem-solving and interpersonal communication abilities.
Candidates for this role must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for company business, along with liability insurance in their name. They need to have a home or cellular phone—or obtain one shortly after starting—and possess good attention to detail. Experience in the food service industry with a comprehensive understanding of restaurant management is required to ensure readiness for the challenges of the position.
In summary, this is a hands-on management role where the successful candidate will ensure day-to-day operations meet the high standards of the Taco Bell brand. This position offers individuals the chance to lead a dynamic team in a well-established fast-food environment, providing opportunities for growth by mastering both operational effectiveness and customer relationship management.
