This job opportunity is offered by an independent franchisee of Taco Bell, a globally recognized fast-food restaurant brand. Unlike working for Taco Bell Corporation or its affiliates directly, you will be employed by a franchisee who operates their own business independently. This means that your wages, benefits, and employment conditions are set by the franchisee and can vary from one franchise location to another. Taco Bell is known for its innovative menu, quick service, and commitment to quality, cleanliness, and hospitality, often summarized by their CHAMPS (Cleanliness, Hospitality, Accuracy, Maintenance, Product quality, and Speed) and LAST (Listen, Apologize, Solve, Thank) systems. The franchise business model ensures that local owners have autonomy in how they run their restaurants while maintaining brand standards to provide a consistent customer experience.

The role focuses on managing the day-to-day operations of the Taco Bell restaurant to ensure it runs efficiently and in accordance with corporate philosophies and standards. As a restaurant manager for a Taco Bell franchise, you are responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant management including ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction through quality food, excellent service, and hospitality. Your leadership will be critical in creating a positive environment for both employees and customers. You will be expected to maintain cleanliness standards, follow safety protocols, and enforce operational policies consistently.

The position requires a comprehensive understanding of foodservice management. You must be skilled in directing employees, managing daily workflows, handling customer interactions courteously, and sustaining a cooperative team environment. Your responsibilities include staffing decisions, employee training and development, performance management, and inventory control. You will also play a vital role in budgeting and operational cost management to support the profitability of the franchise.

Working conditions can be demanding at times since the restaurant environment is fast-paced with varying noise levels and temperature conditions. You must be able to perform well under pressure, stay calm during busy periods, and maintain excellent attention to detail. Typically, it takes one to two years to fully acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to perform this role independently. Although you will operate under general supervision, much of the decision-making related to restaurant operations, employee management, and policy enforcement rests on your shoulders. Your performance directly impacts customer satisfaction, employee morale, and financial results, making accuracy and diligence paramount.

This role also entails physical requirements such as possessing a valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle for company business, current liability insurance, and having reliable communication means like a home or cellular phone. Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Must have comprehensive understanding of all aspects of restaurant management and prior food service experience
  • Must possess a valid Drive License
  • Must have access to a vehicle to drive periodically on company business
  • Must have current liability insurance in your name
  • Must have a home or cellular telephone and if not must get one within three weeks of starting the position
  • Requires good interpersonal communication skills to direct employees and work with customers
  • Must be able to pay attention to detail, cope with pressure and remain calm when stressful situations arise

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent

  • Prior food service experience

  • Familiarity with CHAMPS and LAST operational systems is preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure customer satisfaction

  • Assist with budget decisions and implementation
  • Ensure adequate staffing within the restaurant
  • Follow specified procedures for inventory control
  • Provide employee training, emphasizing CHAMPS and the Taco Bell LAST system
  • Perform employee performance reviews and counseling
  • Work as a team member to assure constant and consistent customer satisfaction through CHAMPS
  • Quickly prepare customers' orders according to specifications and with the highest possible quality
  • Prioritize work load, always serving customers first, then maintaining dining room, and then maintaining work area
  • Operate all kitchen equipment
  • Acknowledge and speak to customers when possible in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Report any needed equipment and/or facilities repair to the Maintenance Department
