Job Description
The hiring establishment is a reputable restaurant that prides itself on maintaining high standards of operation, guest service, and employee development. This restaurant operates within a competitive industry where quality of service, food safety, and efficient management are critical to sustaining a strong brand image and meeting community expectations. The establishment adheres strictly to company policies and government regulations to ensure a safe, respectful, and inviting environment for both guests and employees. With a focus on operational excellence, this restaurant seeks to continuously improve its service delivery and financial performance through effective leadership and teamwork.
We are currently searching for a dedicated and experienced Restaurant General Manager (RGM) to join our team. The RGM will be instrumental in managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, guaranteeing compliance with all company standards and policies, and driving the establishment's financial success. This full-time leadership role requires a strong focus on people development, operational integrity, customer satisfaction, and fiscal responsibility.
The Restaurant General Manager will hold ultimate accountability for the operational and financial effectiveness of the restaurant. This includes ensuring full compliance with company and government regulations such as food safety and labor laws, managing resources effectively, and upholding the company's reputation in the local community. The role involves securing all company assets—including cash, equipment, and inventory—following company policies. In addition, the RGM will lead by example in providing excellent guest service and maintaining a motivating and supportive work culture.
Key responsibilities of the role include recruiting, training, and developing shift managers and team members, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering positive employee relations through ongoing communication and respectful discipline. The RGM will also address employee issues in partnership with district management and human resources to ensure compliance and reduce legal risks. Achieving and maintaining high employee retention rates by promoting a positive workplace environment is another critical focus area.
In serving the customer, the RGM will ensure the restaurant consistently meets guest satisfaction benchmarks and company standards while addressing guest concerns promptly and effectively. Financial management duties encompass overseeing labor costs, food and supplies expenditure, cash handling, auditing, and deposit procedures to sustain profitability and resource efficiency.
Operations management includes enforcing company core behaviors and standard operating procedures, ensuring cleanliness and maintenance programs are executed properly, and complying with all health and safety codes. The RGM must communicate operational updates and employee matters to the district manager while monitoring adherence to company policies related to sales, waste, and unauthorized transactions.
Marketing responsibilities involve implementing promotional programs and recognizing business patterns to optimize scheduling and resource allocation. The RGM will establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure fair pricing and timely shipments, as well as foster customer loyalty by representing the company positively in the community.
This leadership role demands strong organizational skills, personal effectiveness, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to lead a team towards operational excellence. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of restaurant management experience including profit and loss responsibility, and food safety certification aligned with state or local requirements. Preferred qualifications include advanced studies in business or restaurant management. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required for roles involving driving, with an acceptable motor vehicle record for higher-level management positions.
Joining our restaurant management team offers an opportunity to play a pivotal role in maintaining a thriving hospitality environment, leading a dedicated team, achieving financial goals, and ensuring exceptional experiences for every guest.
