HMSHost is a leading global provider of food and beverage services for travelers, operating primarily in airports, highways, and motorways around the world. With its extensive network of dining concepts and retail operations, the company partners with renowned brands to offer exceptional customer experiences in high-traffic, dynamic environments. At Tampa International Airport (TPA), HMSHost proudly manages a variety of food service locations, including the premier Starbucks outlet, providing travelers with quality service and products in a fast-paced setting. As a major hospitality employer, HMSHost emphasizes career development, employee engagement, and operational excellence. The company offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits to support its team members' well-being and professional growth.

The General Manager I (GM) role at Tampa International Airport with HMSHost is a full-time, salaried position offered at an annual salary range of approximately $51,327 to $54,694. This position is vital for managing food service operations within a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or a small cluster of restaurants, with sales typically up to $5 million. This role requires significant leadership judgment and discretion, guiding the team to success through direct management of scheduling, training, customer relations, inventory, and overall restaurant performance.

This career opportunity offers a dynamic management experience in a fast-paced airport setting that challenges and develops leadership skills in restaurant operations, financial accountability, team development, and customer service excellence. The General Manager I acts as a driving force behind the profitability and reputation of assigned restaurants. Responsibilities include staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and motivation, as well as managing inventory, vendor relations, and compliance with health and safety regulations. HMSHost supports its GMs by providing access to advanced management systems such as MIV, Crunch Time, and Kronos, enabling better data-driven decision-making. With opportunities for advanced training and career progression, HMSHost is an attractive employer for experienced restaurant managers seeking to enhance their skills and expand their career within a growing global hospitality enterprise.

Moreover, HMSHost provides a robust benefits package to support and reward its employees, including health, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid time off, holiday pay, meal and transportation benefits, a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, company-paid life insurance, tuition reimbursement, an employee assistance program, and ongoing training and career growth opportunities. Recognizing the value of employee contributions, HMSHost maintains a referral program to encourage team growth and rewards success. The company strictly adheres to equal employment opportunity laws and fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace culture where all employees can thrive regardless of background or identity.
