Job Description

This opportunity is with an independently owned franchisee of Taco Bell, a globally recognized fast-food restaurant brand known for its innovative Mexican-inspired menu. Unlike positions directly with Taco Bell Corporation or its affiliates, this role is with a franchisee who operates independently. Franchisees are separate business owners responsible for their own wage and benefits programs, which can differ from one franchisee to another. This distinction is important as your employment would be directly with the franchisee, not Taco Bell corporate, offering a unique entrepreneurial environment within the established Taco Bell system.

As a restaurant manager within this franchise, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and profitable operation of the establishment. The primary focus revolves around maintaining high standards of quality, service, cleanliness, and hospitality—standards collectively known as CHAMPS. You will adopt and implement the Taco Bell LAST system, a structured operational framework that guides the restaurant's processes and customer interactions. This role requires you to lead a team, foster a positive work culture, and ensure customers have a satisfying dining experience.

Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, training, inventory control, and quality assurance. You will be expected to use your knowledge and experience to make sound decisions, manage budgets, and solve problems efficiently. Interaction with employees and customers is continuous, demanding excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The role includes managing high-pressure situations calmly and maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires prior food service experience and a comprehensive understanding of restaurant management principles. A high school diploma or equivalent is essential, and a valid driver’s license along with access to a vehicle is necessary since some company business travel may be required. Liability insurance is mandatory, emphasizing the responsibility and professionalism expected in this leadership role. Furthermore, having a home or cellular telephone is required to maintain effective communication within the restaurant team and with corporate support.

Embracing safety rules and company policies is critical in this position to protect employees and customers alike. You will also be involved in employee performance evaluations and fostering teamwork that aligns with the company’s core values. Your leadership will directly influence customer satisfaction levels and the overall reputation of the franchise. This job offers the chance to develop professionally within the restaurant management field and make meaningful contributions to the success of a well-known brand in a locally managed business setting.
