The role of General Manager at Checkers & Rally's is a dynamic leadership position that involves full responsibility for managing the overall operations of a restaurant. The General Manager is pivotal to achieving the restaurant’s budgeted sales and profit goals by managing all aspects of the profit and loss statement (P&L). This includes analyzing data continually to identify ways to improve sales, profitability, service quality, and operational efficiency. As the face of the restaurant, the General Manager ensures that every aspect of the restaurant aligns with the company’s goal of being the first choice for both guests and employees.
The General Manager is also deeply involved in talent management, including determining staffing needs, hiring qualified candidates, and ensuring shifts are properly staffed to maintain smooth and consistent restaurant operations. Training and coaching team members and managers fall under their purview, reinforcing policies, procedures, and guest service standards. Furthermore, the General Manager is responsible for addressing any complaints and aligning restaurant practices with Checkers & Rally's quality and safety standards. Promoting a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for both employees and guests is a top priority.

Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Food Safety Certified
- Minimum 2 years restaurant management experience
- Basic math skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work extended hours
- Energetic and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to company core values
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) - preferred Food Safety Certified
- Over 2 years restaurant management experience, preferably in Quick Service Restaurants (QSR)
- Basic math skills
- Microsoft Office and general systems experience
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work flexible schedule and extended hours
- High energy to keep up with our fast paced environment

Job Duties
- Meeting budgeted sales and profits by managing all aspects of the P&L
- Continually analyzing the data and developing and executing plans to improve sales and profits and increase restaurant service and efficiency
- Determining staffing needs and hiring the right candidates for the right position
- Ensuring shifts are properly staffed to guarantee consistent operations and Guest satisfaction
- Training Team Members and Managers on operations, policies and procedures and Guest service
- Identifying and responding to complaints and policy and procedure violations
- Providing regular feedback and coaching to employees on their performance
- Ensuring the restaurant is a safe, clean and fun environment for our employees and Guests
