The Restaurant General Manager role at Habit Burger & Grill is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant. As the Restaurant General Manager, you will be tasked with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) team members, as well as training and developing these team members to perform at their best. You will maintain strict adherence to food preparation protocols to guarantee consistency and quality in every dish served. Your leadership in coaching, communicating, and motivating the team—including shift leaders—will be vital in implementing new procedures, managing operational changes, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

In addition to managing daily restaurant operations and shifts, you will be responsible for inventory management, ordering, and controlling labor and food costs to meet financial goals. Your role includes maintaining cleanliness and organization, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and handling administrative tasks such as scheduling and payroll coordination. Job Requirements

  • 2-4 year of experience in related food service management position preferred
  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • Food Manager Certification and/or ServSafe Manager Certificate required
  • Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule based on restaurant needs
  • Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, conferences, and training

Job Duties

  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of FOH & BOH team members
  • Conduct and supervise the training and development of FOH & BOH team members
  • Uphold food preparation specifics by ensuring standard operational procedures are followed for consistent delivery of quality food items
  • Communicate, train and coach team members and shift leaders on all changes or new procedures, processes, products, promotions, or equipment introduced to the restaurant
  • Conduct Succession Planning 1-on-1s with designated team members
  • Ensure team members comply with all established standards, including personal safety, food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform
  • Manage daily operations of a restaurant shift
  • Increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution
  • Ensure food quality and availability
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stocking in all areas of the restaurant
  • Assist in the development of team members
  • Maintain and build sales
  • Conduct and manage inventory
  • Place food orders and process invoices
  • Track and manage labor and food costs to meet restaurant goals
  • Assist in the preparation of work schedules for team members
  • Manage daily operations of opening, closing and mid shifts
  • Maintain restaurant equipment in working order and request service or repair for issues
  • Directly responsible for maintaining food safety, personal safety, and sanitation standards for the restaurant according to health department regulations and company standards
  • Comply with and maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform standards for all team members
  • Monitor adherence to all applicable labor laws
  • Other projects/duties as assigned by the Restaurant General Manager
