Job Description

Teds is a well-established and renowned restaurant brand that prides itself on delivering exceptional dining experiences through excellent food quality, service, and hospitality. As a leader in the food service industry, Teds is committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment where guests feel valued and staff thrive. With a focus on operational excellence and a strong company culture, Teds fosters growth opportunities for its employees while maintaining high standards in every aspect of the restaurant business.

The General Manager role at Teds represents the pinnacle of restaurant leadership within this dynamic and customer-focused company. As the head of the restaurant, the General Manager takes on a multifaceted leadership position, spearheading the entire operation from floor management to strategic business administration. This position is crucial for shaping the guest experience, motivating and developing the team, and ensuring the restaurant's financial health. The General Manager functions as a culture carrier, exemplifying the values and work ethic that define Teds while driving performance in both people and operational areas.

This role requires a leader who is equally comfortable managing the day-to-day activities on the floor and making strategic decisions that impact the restaurant's profitability and growth. The General Manager leads by example through active involvement in hiring, training, and coaching staff, particularly Shift Supervisors, to develop a high-performing and motivated team. By fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and inclusion, the GM ensures that every team member contributes to the restaurant's positive environment.

Operationally, the General Manager oversees inventory management, cost control, food safety, and cleanliness standards, ensuring that every shift delivers consistent quality and service. They address operational and facility-related issues promptly to prioritize guest and team safety. The role also involves scheduling and payroll oversight, maintaining labor budgets, and leveraging technology to streamline processes and uphold compliance.

Customer experience remains a top priority for the General Manager, who models hospitality standards, coaches staff on communication and service pacing, and maintains a welcoming atmosphere across all hours of operation. This hands-on leadership approach helps maintain brand consistency and creates memorable dining experiences that encourage repeat visits.

From a business perspective, the General Manager owns the Profit and Loss statement (P&L) for the restaurant, managing revenue streams, labor costs, cost of goods sold (COGS), and other controllable expenses. They monitor performance trends, control overtime, and ensure budgets are met. Additionally, the General Manager oversees special operations such as catering and fulfilling large orders, adapting strategies based on data insights to drive continuous improvement and business growth.

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging between $60,000 and $70,000, reflecting the importance of the role and the responsibilities involved. This opportunity is ideal for experienced food service professionals seeking to leverage their management skills within a vibrant, fast-paced restaurant environment that values leadership, operational efficiency, and excellent guest service.
