This comprehensive control allows Wonder to continually innovate and improve the customer experience, making great food more accessible and enjoyable for all.\n\nThe role of Senior Operations Leader at Wonder is a dynamic opportunity for experienced professionals interested in a multifaceted leadership position within a growing and complex operation. As a Senior Operations Leader, you will oversee a shared kitchen location that supports multiple brands, channels, and delivery methods, including dine-in, pick-up, and delivery services. This position entails far more than traditional food service management; it requires managing a multifunctional team composed of both internal employees and external contract partners. You will act as a General Manager with full ownership of the local Profit and Loss (P&L), driving business results while balancing operational efficiency and excellence across various domains.\n\nKey responsibilities include staffing decisions, optimizing labor and service execution, managing vendor relations, and maintaining compliance with safety and labor regulations. The role demands adeptness at navigating a fast-paced, evolving environment requiring quick decision making and real-time problem-solving. In addition, you will build and nurture local partnerships, collaborate cross-functionally with finance, culinary, procurement, and logistics teams, and represent Wonder in the community and partner ecosystem.\n\nWorking with Wonder presents a unique opportunity to join a high-growth startup environment marked by operational complexity and innovation. The ideal candidate is an experienced business operator with at least three years of experience leading high-volume operations in sectors like logistics, retail, hospitality, food service, or eCommerce. This leader will have a proven track record of growth, operational success including full P&L ownership, and the ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving contexts. This position offers a competitive salary range of $95,000 to $109,500 per year and is located in Hamden, CT. Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the US
  • must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • must have open availability including nights and weekends
  • food handler certification or willingness to obtain

Job Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience leading high-volume, complex operations in sectors such as logistics, field-based retail, hospitality, food service, or eCommerce
  • experience in fast-growing, operationally complex environments such as startups, multi-unit retail, or on-demand services
  • proven leadership with progressive growth and advancement
  • success in full P&L ownership, KPI management, and driving operational results
  • proactive problem-solving skills for fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • experience managing hybrid workforces including employees and contracted vendors or partners
  • cross-functional fluency to collaborate across finance, HR, logistics, culinary, and partner organizations
  • strong focus on customer service, quality, accountability, and results

Job Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations across kitchen, service, and fulfillment channels including dine-in, pickup, and delivery
  • optimize labor deployment, throughput, and service execution to meet evolving business needs
  • ensure strict adherence to labor, food safety, team member safety, and compliance standards
  • monitor and manage inventory accuracy, waste reduction efforts, and product shelf life adherence
  • maintain high operational readiness by forecasting demand, resolving obstacles, and adjusting workflows in real-time
  • monitor customer feedback and operational trends to make data-informed decisions that drive service excellence
  • set and drive key operational KPIs, ensuring alignment across internal and external contributors
