Job Description
Our company is a well-established and respected player in the restaurant industry, known for delivering exceptional dining experiences and maintaining high standards of service and food quality. As a dynamic and customer-focused enterprise, we pride ourselves on our commitment to operational excellence, employee development, and community engagement. We strive to uphold a positive brand image by consistently providing superior guest services while ensuring that all aspects of our operations comply with company policies as well as local and federal regulations. Our team-oriented culture encourages professional growth and fosters a collaborative environment where each team member's contribution is valued.
The role of Restaurant General Manager (RGM) is critical to our continued success. The RGM is responsible for managing the entire restaurant's operations and financial performance, ensuring that every facet of the restaurant adheres to company standards, governmental rules, and safety regulations. This position demands a leader who is both hands-on and strategic, with the ability to motivate teams, manage resources efficiently, and drive guest satisfaction to new heights. The RGM will act as the primary informational source within the restaurant, championing company values and legal compliance to protect company assets and uphold the establishment's image in the community. This full-time role commands a strong focus on operational control, fiscal responsibility, and people development, overseeing recruitment, employee training, and retention strategies to build a positive work environment.
In this role, the RGM is accountable for financial oversight including labor management, food costs, auditing, cash handling, and inventory control. Operational responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and preventive maintenance, enforcing food safety standards, and ensuring that all opening, closing, safety, and security procedures are followed precisely. The RGM will foster open communication channels for problem resolution, leading by example to maintain high employee morale and customer satisfaction. Effective employee relations are paramount; the RGM must conduct timely performance appraisals, give constructive feedback, and handle disciplinary actions appropriately while collaborating with district management and human resources to address employment issues.
Marketing initiatives fall under the purview of the RGM, requiring the implementation of promotional programs and adjustment of staffing based on traffic patterns to optimize business. The ability to maintain vendor relationships and manage supplier interactions is also crucial for cost control and operational efficiency. Overall, the Restaurant General Manager plays a pivotal role in not only steering day-to-day operations but also shaping the long-term success and reputation of our restaurant within the highly competitive hospitality industry.
