The Restaurant Manager at Eataly plays a critical role in supporting the Assistant General Manager (AGM) in the daily operations of the restaurant's front-of-house team. This position oversees the service staff, including servers, bartenders, food runners, hosts, bussers, and barbacks, ensuring that every guest receives exceptional service in a welcoming environment. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for implementing operational standards and maintaining the highest level of health and safety compliance. This role requires strong leadership skills, as the manager assists with recruitment, staff training, evaluations, and, when necessary, employee terminations.
In addition to managing personnel, the Restaurant Manager also reviews financial data such as sales, inventory, and costs to help monitor and maintain the budget. They coordinate with the dining room and bar teams to plan restaurant activities and special events, enhancing the overall guest experience. The role demands a flexible schedule, often including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to physically engage in restaurant activities such as lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.

Job Requirements
- availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours including standing, walking, bending and squatting
- food handler’s license preferred
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience leading or managing a front-of-house restaurant team
- understanding of steps of service
- outstanding communication skills
- leadership skills
- problem-solving skills
- bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree in restaurant management or hospitality preferred
- knowledge of Italian cuisine and beverage highly preferred
Job Duties
- assist the restaurant assistant general manager in daily operations
- oversee front-of-house restaurant staff including servers, bartenders, food runners, hosts, bussers, and barbacks
- support hiring, assigning, training, evaluating and terminating employees
- document, investigate, escalate and resolve employee and guest incidents
- ensure exceptional service standards are met
- inspect dining room and storage areas for health and safety compliance
- estimate front-of-house food and beverage needs and supervise intake orders
- review financial information such as sales, inventory and costs
- meet with dining room and bar personnel to plan activities and special events
- perform other duties as assigned
