Job Description

Eataly is the world’s largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace, renowned for its unique and authentic approach to Italian cuisine. Unlike typical chains, each Eataly location boasts its own distinct character and theme, creating a singular experience for every guest. This innovative marketplace offers an immersive environment where visitors can indulge in authentic Italian food at several full-service restaurants, charming cafés, and convenient to-go counters. Beyond dining, Eataly provides a rich shopping experience featuring a thoughtfully curated selection of high-quality Italian products, as well as local and homemade items, emphasizing quality and tradition. Customers can also engage in educational opportunities through hands-on classes and the knowledgeable expertise of Eataly’s team, deepening their appreciation and understanding of Italian culinary arts and culture.

This listing is for the exciting role of Restaurant Manager, a position pivotal to the operational excellence of Eataly’s full-service restaurants. The Restaurant Manager works closely with the Assistant General Manager (AGM) to oversee the front-of-house team, including servers, bartenders, food runners, hosts, bussers, and barbacks. This role is available at either of Eataly’s onsite restaurants, La Pizza La Pasta or Terra restaurant, both recognized for their commitment to authentic Italian dining experiences.

The responsibilities of the Restaurant Manager include supporting the AGM in all facets of daily restaurant operations, such as hiring, assigning tasks, training, evaluating staff performance, and managing terminations when necessary. The Restaurant Manager also plays a critical role in handling employee and guest incidents by documenting, investigating, escalating, and resolving issues promptly to maintain a positive atmosphere. Ensuring that all service standards meet or exceed expectations is a core part of this role, along with actively inspecting the dining room and storage areas to guarantee compliance with stringent health and safety regulations.

The Restaurant Manager must efficiently estimate front-of-house food and beverage needs and supervise orders to ensure that specifications are met, maintaining seamless operations and preventing shortages or excess. Financial acumen is important as the position requires reviewing sales, inventory, and cost reports to closely monitor the budget and contribute to maximizing profitability. Additionally, the Restaurant Manager convenes regular meetings with dining room and bar staff to coordinate activities, plan special events, share critical information, and foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.

The annual salary range for this role is $71,000 to $75,000, with eligibility to participate in the company's 2027 Performance and Bonus review program. This position demands excellent leadership skills, an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for authentic Italian food culture. It is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned hospitality professional seeking to grow their career with a world-renowned food marketplace known for its dedication to quality and customer satisfaction.
