Job Description

Wonder is a dynamic and innovative mealtime platform dedicated to making world-class food accessible to everyone. Unlike traditional dining establishments, Wonder operates as a unique culinary ecosystem that brings together over 20 exclusive restaurants under one roof, offering customers the convenience of mixing and matching hundreds of dishes from diverse cuisines, from tacos to Thai, all in a single order. This one-of-a-kind model allows diners to satisfy varied cravings without compromise, enjoying fresh, made-to-order meals that are prepared on-site by skilled culinary teams and served hot. With options for dine-in, pick-up, and delivery with no additional delivery fee, Wonder is revolutionizing the dining experience by ensuring quality, variety, and consistency at scale through its proprietary technology and end-to-end control over the dining process, including recipe development and operational logistics.

The role available at Wonder is designed for energetic and motivated individuals who want to be part of a fast-paced, supportive team that values growth, skill development, and exceptional customer service. As a Team Member in the Acton, MA location, you will help bring menus conceived by Michelin-starred and celebrity chefs to life, mastering multiple roles within the restaurant to ensure every guest experiences outstanding food and hospitality. This position is available for both full-time and part-time employment, with a competitive base pay rate starting at $18.50 per hour. Additionally, overnight shifts worked between midnight and 5 a.m. are compensated with a $2.00 per hour premium, acknowledging the commitment required for these hours. Beyond base compensation, Team Members may qualify for additional earning opportunities, including a $0.50 hourly raise for Certified Team Members and a $1.50 hourly premium for Trainers. New hires at the Acton store are also eligible for a $250 new store bonus after completing 30 days of work, serving as a token of appreciation for their dedication during this critical growth phase.

This role is multifaceted, requiring team members to embrace a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the overall success of the restaurant and the satisfaction of every customer. You will be at the forefront of food preparation, meticulously following Wonder’s high standards for taste, quality, and presentation while maintaining cleanliness and organization at your workstation. Adhering to HACCP and rigorous food safety guidelines is crucial, along with accurate inventory scanning and precise portioning to ensure every order is error-free before it leaves the kitchen.

Moreover, delivering extraordinary hospitality is a key component of your day-to-day work. Warmly greeting guests, assisting with orders, and supporting operations across meal-kit preparation, deliveries, and app-based services allow you to connect meaningfully with customers and enhance their experience. Light local marketing activities, such as street engagement and flyer distribution, further expand your role beyond the kitchen and dining area.

Maintaining a spotless environment is vital to the restaurant’s reputation and customer satisfaction. Your duties include sanitation of both kitchen and front-of-house areas, washing and restocking utensils and equipment, and properly managing waste and recycling, while promptly reporting any equipment malfunctions. Being a vital part of the team means supporting your coworkers, taking initiative when needed, and contributing to a positive, energetic workplace culture where continuous development is fostered by supportive leadership.

Wonder prides itself on fostering an inclusive workplace committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring fair hiring practices free from discrimination. Team Members must be at least 18 years old, legally authorized to work in the US, capable of lifting 50 pounds and standing for a full shift, and have weekend availability. This position utilizes an Automated Employment Decision Tool (AEDT) to ensure an objective and fair assessment process. By joining Wonder, you become part of a fast-growing, stable company with a meaningful mission to broaden access to high-quality food and exciting opportunities to advance within the organization.
