Job Description
Wonder is a revolutionary mealtime platform dedicated to making world-class food accessible to everyone. Unlike traditional dining establishments, Wonder brings a unique concept to the food industry by allowing customers to mix and match hundreds of dishes from over 20 exclusive restaurants in a single order. This innovative approach means that customers can satisfy diverse cravings — from tacos to Thai — all with zero delivery fees and the option to dine in or pick up at a Wonder location nearby. Each dish is freshly prepared to order on site by their culinary team and served hot, ensuring the highest quality and satisfaction for every guest. The company manages every step of the dining experience internally, from recipe development to the sophisticated technology powering the platform. This control allows Wonder to consistently deliver exceptional variety, quality, and speed on a scalable level.
Wonder is currently expanding and looking for dedicated, enthusiastic Team Members at their Acton, MA location. This role offers flexible employment types, including both full-time and part-time shifts, with competitive pay starting at $18.50 per hour. Overnight shifts between midnight and 5 AM receive an additional $2.00 per hour premium. New team members will be eligible for a one-time $250 bonus after completing 30 days of work, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding its team’s efforts during its growth phase.
As a Team Member at Wonder, you’ll play a vital role in bringing menus from Michelin-starred and celebrity chefs to life, ensuring every customer enjoys an inviting and positive experience. This role is not just about food preparation; it’s an opportunity to learn new skills in a fast-paced, fun environment and grow your career with room to advance into Trainer or Supervisor positions. You will engage in a variety of tasks, including preparing menu items to Wonder’s high standards, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation protocols such as HACCP guidelines, managing inventory, and ensuring orders are accurately packed and dispatched. An essential part of the role is delivering incredible hospitality by greeting guests warmly, assisting with orders, pickups, payments, and supporting Wonder’s app operations. Some light local marketing activities such as flyer distribution and street engagement are also part of your duties, helping to foster community connection and brand awareness.
Maintaining impeccable cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas is critical in this role. You will wash and restock cookware, utensils, and equipment and ensure timely trash and recycling management while promptly reporting any equipment issues. Teamwork is at the core of Wonder’s culture; you will support your teammates, maintain a positive, high-energy environment, and contribute to a workplace where leaders invest in your professional development.
The position requires candidates to be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the US, capable of lifting 50 pounds, able to stand for full shifts, and have weekend availability. Prior experience of six months or more in a fast-paced kitchen or bustling customer-facing role is preferred, along with strong attention to detail, speed, communication skills, and knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
Wonder prides itself on fair hiring practices and diversity, equity, and inclusion. The company utilizes an Automated Employment Decision Tool (AEDT) to assess candidates objectively for skills, job fit, and proficiency, ensuring they hire based on potential and merit. If accommodations are needed for disabilities during the interview process, candidates are encouraged to communicate these needs to Wonder. This role offers an exciting chance to be part of a stable yet fast-growing company where new opportunities emerge every week.
