Job Description
Wonder is a pioneering mealtime platform dedicated to making world-class food accessible to everyone. As a dynamic and innovative company, Wonder operates at the intersection of culinary excellence and technology, offering an unparalleled dining experience that caters to diverse tastes under one roof. By partnering with over 20 exclusive restaurants, Wonder provides customers the ability to mix and match hundreds of delicious dishes in a single order, eliminating the compromise when it comes to mealtime choices. Whether guests crave tacos, Thai, or any other cuisine, Wonder ensures each meal is made fresh on-site by a skilled culinary team and served hot for optimal enjoyment.\n\nBehind the scenes, Wonder manages every aspect of the dining experience from recipe development to the seamless technology that powers ordering and delivery, enabling the company to deliver quality, variety, and consistency at scale. This comprehensive control over the process empowers Wonder to maintain high standards and deliver exceptional value to customers with convenience and speed. The company is headquartered in Kendall Square, known for its vibrant tech and innovation community, which positions Wonder at the forefront of the hospitality and food tech industry.\n\nAs a Team Member at Wonder, you become an essential part of this fast-growing, stable company that emphasizes career growth, skill development, and creating a positive workplace culture. Whether you seek full-time or part-time employment, this role offers competitive pay starting at $17.50 per hour, with overnight shifts earning an additional $2.00 hourly premium for work between midnight and 5:00 AM. Opportunities for added compensation exist through certifications and training positions, including a 50-cent per hour increase for certified team members and a $1.50 per hour increase for trainers.\n\nThe role involves a variety of responsibilities designed to provide diverse experience and professional growth. Team Members prepare high-quality menu items to Wonder's standards, ensuring stations remain clean, stocked, and organized at all times. They adhere strictly to HACCP and food-safety protocols, including proper temperature control and storage, manage inventory scans, portion food accurately, and verify every order for accuracy before it leaves the kitchen. In addition to food preparation, Team Members deliver exemplary hospitality by greeting guests warmly, assisting with orders, pickups, payments, and the Wonder app, and promoting the company’s meal-kit and delivery services. Interaction with the community through light local marketing, such as distributing flyers and street engagement, is also part of the role to enhance brand awareness. \n\nMaintaining cleanliness and sanitation is critical in this role, requiring constant efforts to wash, clean, and restock cookware and utensils, manage trash and recycling properly, and promptly report any equipment issues. Being a Team Member at Wonder means supporting your teammates, contributing to a positive and energetic environment, and embracing ongoing learning opportunities. Leaders invest in the team’s personal and professional development, fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity and equity are championed. Wonder is committed to fair hiring practices and participates in the federal E-Verify program to ensure employment eligibility.
