Job Requirements
- Lift up to 20 lbs with one hand
- Stand for up to 5 hours without sitting
- Reach at least 36 inches horizontally or vertically
- Handle small and medium-size woks for up to 4 hours continuously
- Perform high-speed repetitive cutting and slicing safely using a Chinese cook's knife
- Maintain good personal hygiene
- Follow instructions and procedures accurately without constant supervision
- Work effectively under pressure during peak periods
- Attend to food quality, preparation, and presentation details
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in a commercial kitchen setting
- Knowledge of Asian cooking techniques and recipes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow strict hygiene and safety standards
Job Duties
- Prepare stir-fry dishes according to company recipes and health regulations
- Cook ingredients as assembled by the Apportioner
- Adjust seasoning, cooking times, and procedures to meet company standards
- Mix sauces and marinades and maintain adequate supplies
- Operate kitchen equipment safely including ranges, grills, ovens, and deep fryers
- Assist management in developing and refining menu specials
- Support training of hourly staff and ensure smooth back-of-house operations
