Job Requirements

  • Must have an outgoing and 'whatever it takes' personality
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hrs) and able to meet a lift requirement of 50lbs
  • Ability to stay calm and friendly under pressure
  • Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to hospitality
  • Must be able to read English

Job Qualifications

  • No previous restaurant experience required
  • Maintain a positive and professional appearance and demeanor
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the menu and daily specials
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Work efficiently during high-volume shifts
  • Texas Food Handler certification
  • Practice clear, respectful communication with coworkers

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook and plate all menu items according to standardized recipes and portion guidelines
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the correct temperature and quality standards
  • Use proper cooking techniques and operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including grills, fryers, slicers and dish machines
  • Follow portion controls and minimize waste to support food cost targets
  • Maintain knowledge of all current menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
  • Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in compliance with health department regulations
  • Perform proper food storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO - First In, First Out)
  • Set up, stock, and maintain cleanliness throughout shift
  • Work closely with other cooks, front of house staff and management to ensure timely and accurate food service
  • Communicate any shortages, equipment issues, or safety concerns to management immediately
  • Assist with training new kitchen staff as needed
  • Complete opening, mid-shift, or closing duties as assigned
