The company is looking to expand its Store Operations Team by hiring a Restaurant Clerk at its 003 Houston-Wayside location. The store is situated at 800 S. Wayside Dr., Houston, Texas, 77023, United States. This role involves being a key contact point with customers, assisting in creating a positive customer service experience. The Restaurant Clerk will support the preparation of grilled and hot food items specifically for the El Super brand, adhering to precise company standards for food preparation and presentation. Additionally, the role focuses on maintaining a clean, inviting, and safe restaurant environment that complies with health and safety regulations.
The position requires flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and weekends, accommodating the busy nature of the store. The successful candidate will be responsible for following all company policies, including holding a valid Food Handler Card or an equivalent certification, which is mandatory for all roles involving food preparation, handling, and serving. Job Requirements
- Valid Food Handler Card or equivalent certification
- Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds
- Willingness to work nights and weekends
- Basic Spanish and English literacy
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public and team members
- Physical capability to perform duties involving lifting
- Ability to read and comprehend simple written materials
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Assist with the preparation of grilled and hot food items according to company standards
- Maintain a clean and inviting restaurant environment
- Provide excellent customer service and interact with customers and co-workers
- Follow food safety regulations including holding a Food Handler Card
- Work varied shifts including nights and weekends
- Read and comprehend product labels, pricing codes, and instructions
- Perform regular lifting and moving of items up to 60 pounds
