Job Requirements
- Experience with event planning or catering sales management information systems
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in event planning/catering
- Food service sanitation certification as required
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and climb stairs
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity for computer and office equipment
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Excellent communication skills in fast-paced environments
- Professional appearance consistent with company standards
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree in event planning, catering or related field
- Minimum of three years experience in event planning management or catering sales
- Certified in food service sanitation as mandated by state regulations
- Proficient in member management and event planning software
- Strong interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation skills
- Ability to build relationships at all organization levels
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and collaboration skills
Job Duties
- Drive catering and event revenue by proactively identifying new business opportunities
- Serve as the primary client contact from inquiry through post-event follow-up
- Plan, coordinate, and execute catered events including menu selection and logistics
- Develop and present customized proposals, pricing, and contracts
- Conduct property tours and sales calls to generate leads
- Upsell food, beverage, and event enhancements
- Collaborate with culinary and operations teams for flawless event execution
- Oversee event-day coordination and resolve issues promptly
- Ensure accurate billing and follow up with clients for satisfaction
- Develop strong relationships within the local community to expand clientele
- Monitor and manage catering opportunities pipeline
- Prepare sales presentations and report on sales metrics
- Participate in sales and management meetings
