Job Description

Urban Plates Restaurants is a premium fast-casual and fast-fine regional restaurant chain established in 2011 in Del Mar, California. Founded by two food industry veterans passionate about delivering wholesome, craveable meals made from scratch, Urban Plates has expanded to 22 locations throughout California. The company prides itself on making clean, sustainably sourced, ethically treated, and high-quality food accessible at honest prices. Urban Plates not only offers delicious food but also fosters a welcoming and energetic environment that combines the vibrancy of an open kitchen with the comfortable ambiance of a neighborhood restaurant. The restaurants emphasize community connection and exceptional guest experiences, presenting a space where people can enjoy fresh meals in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Urban Plates is recognized for its commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and providing meaningful career opportunities for its team members. Urban Plates is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values diversity and inclusion, providing accommodations throughout the hiring process and ensuring a respectful work environment for all employees. Located at 21857 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, the restaurant offers a hospitality team member role in the front-of-house (FOH) with a competitive pay range of $17.87 to $21.06 per hour, including potential tips. This hourly position benefits from an extensive range of health and wellness services available to team members and their families for an affordable fee of $12 per month, inclusive of counseling, telehealth, dental discounts, hearing care, fitness memberships, contact lenses, and diabetic supplies. Other benefits include paid sick time, meal discounts, various insurance plans, a 401k plan, employee assistance programs, emergency grants, and opportunities for advancement and career development. The role itself is essential to delivering superior guest service, managing payment transactions, maintaining cleanliness in dining and patio areas, and acting as a friendly guide to guests as they navigate the service line and dining room. The position requires a flexible schedule with paid training and cross-training opportunities to help team members grow and excel within the company. Urban Plates fosters a culture that values preparation, development, support, clarity, and opportunity for every team member, ensuring that individuals feel welcomed, respected, and equipped to succeed. Joining Urban Plates as a Hospitality Team Member means becoming part of a positive and aspirational company culture where you can build meaningful connections, enjoy a supportive workplace, and take pride in serving wholesome meals made with care.
