Job Description

Outback Steakhouse is a well-established casual dining restaurant known for its bold Australian-inspired flavors, warm hospitality, and welcoming atmosphere. As part of the Bloomin' Brands family, Outback Steakhouse operates numerous locations across the country, consistently delivering high-quality meals and memorable dining experiences to guests. The company prides itself on fostering a vibrant, inclusive work culture where employees are valued and encouraged to grow their careers. Through its commitment to excellence in both food and service, Outback Steakhouse has become a favorite destination for diners seeking hearty meals in a friendly setting.

The role of a Restaurant Busser at Outback Steakhouse is pivotal to maintaining the seamless flow of dining room operations. Bussers are responsible for ensuring that guests always enter a clean, inviting environment, setting the stage for an exceptional dining experience. This position is ideal for energetic individuals who thrive in fast-paced restaurant settings and enjoy working as part of a team dedicated to outstanding hospitality. Bussers play an essential role in supporting the servers and hosts by promptly clearing and resetting tables, managing cleanliness on the floor, and upholding strict sanitation standards.

Besides maintaining cleanliness, restaurant bussers contribute significantly to the overall guest experience by practicing "pre-bussing," which involves removing unnecessary items from tables during meals to keep the dining area tidy. They also assist with various front-of-house duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach. The job requires strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with other team members, ensuring everyone works cohesively to deliver smooth service.

Outback Steakhouse offers competitive pay starting at $9 per hour plus tips, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, and 401k retirement options, providing employees with both short- and long-term benefits. The company also promotes opportunities for growth within the Bloomin' Brands family, making it an excellent place for individuals seeking to develop their careers in hospitality. With flexible shifts that include nights and weekends, this role accommodates varying schedules, making it suitable for students, part-time workers, or anyone looking to join a dynamic restaurant team.

For those who take pride in their work ethic, enjoy a welcoming team environment, and want to contribute to a memorable dining experience, the Restaurant Busser position at Outback Steakhouse offers both a rewarding challenge and the chance to be part of a respected dining brand. Joining the team means becoming an "Outbacker" — a valued member of a community committed to "Auss-some" hospitality and creating positive experiences for every guest.
