HOB Entertainment, a division of Live Nation Entertainment, operates a collection of exceptional club venues nationwide known as House of Blues. These venues are famous for offering a diverse range of live music genres, including Rock, Hip Hop, Country, Rock en Español, Blues, Jazz, Reggae, and Pop. The role available is an essential part of the venue’s restaurant operations aimed at maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests. The position is responsible for ensuring thorough restaurant cleanliness in an efficient and professional manner, significantly contributing to an exceptional overall guest experience. This role requires attention to detail, multitasking skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include managing table maintenance duties as per House of Blues service standards, performing opening, running, and closing duties aligned with service protocols, and responding promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and requests. The employee must continuously circulate through the work area to sustain appropriate line of sight and atmosphere, safely transport bus tubs, keep ice bins fully stocked, and ensure floors remain clean and free from obstacles. Additional tasks include cleaning spills immediately, managing trash and recyclable disposal properly, maintaining the cleanliness of booster seats and high chairs, and assisting with special events held at the venue. Maintaining knowledge of current menu items, service procedures, and safety standards forms an integral part of the job. This hourly position offers compensation starting at $16.90 USD per hour, with pay subject to factors such as market location, individual qualifications, skills, and experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Active CA food handler card
  • Experience in high volume kitchen operations
  • Food service experience as either an expeditor or server in a high volume environment
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Sense of urgency
  • Time management skills
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation standards
  • Critical thinking and decision making
  • Ability to lift or move up to 40 lbs using proper lifting techniques

Job Qualifications

  • Active CA Food Handler Card

Job Duties

  • Perform table maintenance duties according HOB service standards
  • Perform opening/running/closing duties according to HOB service standards
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner
  • Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shift
  • Safely transport bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs from table areas to dish room
  • Keep all ice bins parred to fullest levels at all times
  • Keep floor neat, clean and free of food, trash and other obstacles throughout shift
  • Clean all spills immediately, use floor signs to caution guests and staff
  • Put all trash and recyclable products in proper receptacles
  • Clean and stock line to par throughout shift
  • Operate trash compactor per procedures policy
  • Ensure that trash cans/slim jims are clean, free of odor and lined
  • Keep all dust pans clean and free of stuck on debris/odor
  • Keep current on all standard operating procedures
  • Stay informed of current menu items and descriptions
  • Follow private party service guidelines to ensure event success
  • Keep the booster seats and high chairs clean, alert MOD about any highchair safety issues
  • Turn all lost and found items in to MOD
  • Assist other employees as needed
  • Required to occasionally work special events that are scheduled throughout the venue
