Job Description

Loews Coral Gables Hotel is a premier hospitality establishment in South Florida, renowned for its luxurious accommodations and exceptional guest services. Featuring 242 elegantly appointed guestrooms, including 23 beautifully designed suites, this hotel offers a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere for both leisure and business travelers. The property boasts 30,000 square feet of versatile indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, making it an ideal venue for conferences, social events, and corporate gatherings. Guests can unwind and enjoy the expansive 9th floor pool deck or indulge in culinary delights at one of the four Miami-inspired dining outlets, each offering a unique blend of local flavors and international cuisine.

Strategically located just four blocks from Coral Gables’ iconic Miracle Mile, Loews Coral Gables Hotel serves as the centerpiece of The Plaza Coral Gables—an impressive 2.1 million square-foot mixed-use development that combines retail, dining, and entertainment experiences. This location offers guests convenient access to vibrant shopping districts and cultural attractions, further enhancing their stay. As the second Loews Hotel in South Florida and part of the extensive Loews Hotels & Co portfolio, which includes 25 properties across the United States and Canada, this hotel maintains a strong commitment to luxury, service excellence, and memorable guest experiences.

The role of a Busser at Loews Coral Gables Hotel is integral to maintaining the smooth operation of the food and beverage service areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all service areas are well-stocked and prepared, with clean and properly arranged serviceware prior to guest use. This position involves clearing soiled plates and service ware from tables and service areas, transporting them to the dishwashing area, and sorting appropriately to maintain efficiency and cleanliness.

Additionally, bussers play a supportive role by assisting servers with greeting guests, delivering water and beverages, and occasionally helping with food presentation during high-volume periods or large parties. Attention to detail is essential, as bussers must maintain the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the dining room and service areas at all times. Post-meal cleanup and side work tasks are also part of the daily responsibilities.

Teamwork and communication are vital components of this role. Candidates must work collaboratively with servers, management, and fellow team members, while demonstrating politeness, friendliness, and helpfulness toward both guests and colleagues. Compliance with safety regulations, adherence to hotel standards and policies, and the ability to execute emergency procedures are mandatory. The position requires a commitment to maintaining the hotel's uniform and grooming standards and actively participating in training sessions and meetings.

Overall, the busser position at Loews Coral Gables Hotel offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to develop their hospitality careers within a reputable and dynamic environment. The hotel’s focus on guest satisfaction, combined with its luxurious setting and top-notch amenities, ensures that every team member plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
