Job Description

The Bartender role at CSM is focused on preparing and serving beverages and food to guests while maintaining a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor. This position requires adherence to all health and safety standards, as well as compliance with state and local liquor regulations. The Bartender ensures exceptional guest service by greeting guests warmly, efficiently taking and delivering orders, and providing expert drink preparation according to brand recipes and standards. The position demands a high level of organization, accuracy with cash handling, and proficiency in operating POS systems such as Micros. Responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards of the bar and surrounding areas to promote a safe and pleasant work environment.

Moreover, this role requires collaboration with servers and other team members to meet guest needs effectively. Bartenders play an essential part in inventory control and cost management by using equipment properly, minimizing waste, and completing inventory sheets with accuracy. The capability to monitor guest consumption and verify identification is crucial to ensure compliance with liquor laws. Physical demands of the role include lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds regularly and handling kegs weighing up to 150 pounds occasionally.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly during shift
  • Ability to lift, transport, and connect kegs weighing up to 150 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to continuously walk, stand, carry, and lift during shift
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Adherence to CSM/Brand grooming and appearance standards
  • Ability to attend all required meetings and follow attendance policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and liquor laws
  • Ability to operate POS systems such as Micros
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of bar equipment and drink preparation
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Greets all guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Accurately and quickly takes, enters, prepares, and delivers guest orders according to standards
  • Responds to guests needs and provides the highest level of quality service
  • Assists other associates as needed to meet guests needs
  • Effectively operates micros operating system and cash register
  • Follows all CSM/Brand cash handling/POS procedures to ensure accurate closing of all guest checks
  • Dispenses appropriate levels of alcohol
  • prepares drinks to recipe and CSM/Brand standards
