Job Description

The Source Hotel is a modern and vibrant hospitality destination located in Denver's lively RINo Art District. It stands out as a distinctive hotel that combines industrial character with contemporary elegance, creating a dynamic marketplace atmosphere that offers guests not just a place to stay but a full experience of creativity, culture, and community. The hotel features artisanal dining, craft beverages, and curated retail options, making it a prime location for visitors seeking an immersive and inspired hospitality experience. Its thoughtfully designed spaces and attention to detail make it more than a conventional hotel — it’s a destination to discover and enjoy.

As part of the larger Crescent Hotels & Resorts brand, The Source Hotel provides an environment that celebrates inclusivity, diversity, and respect for all associates and guests. With a commitment to fostering an open and honest workplace culture, the company promotes equity and diversity through its hiring practices, training programs, and community engagement efforts. This reflects in the welcoming atmosphere guests experience during their stay.

The role available at The Source Hotel is for a bartender who will play an essential part in delivering the hotel’s promise of exceptional hospitality. The bartender’s responsibilities include following the established steps of service and adhering to The Source’s guidelines for preparing cocktails, juices, and other beverages. The role requires maintaining a clean and organized workspace, collaborating with fellow bartenders on tasks like washing glassware and utensils, and ensuring a high standard of service throughout their shift. The bartender will also be responsible for educating guests about the diverse beverage options, discussing daily specials, seasonal menu items, and food pairings to promote additional sales and enhance guests’ overall dining experience.

Cash handling is an important part of this role, with duties including collecting payment and operating the cash register efficiently and accurately. The bartender must also check customers’ identification to ensure they are of legal age for alcohol purchase and monitor guest consumption to promote responsible service. Another key aspect is the attractive arrangement of bottles and glasses to create displays that encourage sales while enhancing the ambiance of the bar area.

Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with barbacks to replenish supplies is crucial to maintaining seamless service and a fully stocked bar. The bartender will mix drinks according to established recipes to ensure consistency across the hotel's globally unified beverage program, guaranteeing every guest enjoys the same high-quality drink experience.

Employment at The Source Hotel comes with several benefits. Eligible associates receive a competitive wage structure plus access to a comprehensive benefits plan that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as participation in a 401(k) plan with company matching. Additional perks include discounts at other Crescent-managed properties across North America for employees and their families, supporting a healthy work-life balance and encouraging travel and leisure opportunities.

The Source Hotel prides itself on being an inclusive workplace where associates at every level feel respected and valued. The hotel emphasizes the importance of an equitable environment where diverse talents are recruited, trained, and promoted, affirming its commitment to community-building and an enriching career path for team members. Joining The Source Hotel means becoming part of a forward-thinking company culture dedicated to guest satisfaction, employee well-being, and cultural celebration.
