The Bartender role at Life Time plays a vital part in enhancing the overall member experience by ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere at the bar area. This position requires someone who understands and strictly follows alcohol serving laws while delivering high-quality beverage service. The Bartender is responsible for preparing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, ensuring that drinks are consistently crafted with accuracy and presentation in mind. Customer interaction is an essential part of the role, as the Bartender takes and serves food orders when needed and engages with members to answer questions and provide excellent service.

Additionally, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the bar environment is critical to uphold health and safety standards. The Bartender manages stock levels by replenishing supplies such as liquors, wines, beers, and other necessary ingredients, including replacing beer barrels. Accuracy and accountability are emphasized through the reconciliation of the cash register at the end of each shift, supporting smooth financial operations. This position requires someone who is physically able to perform various tasks such as bending, lifting over 20 pounds, and standing for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.

Life Time offers an hourly wage for this position starting at $16.50 and up to $19.50, based on experience and qualifications. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • 1 to 2 years of bartending experience
  • certified to serve alcohol
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
  • ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs
  • ability to work in a stationary position and move about the cafe for prolonged periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • experience with inventory and ordering preferred

Job Duties

  • follows recipes in order to appropriately prepare cocktails and other drinks, including adding garnish
  • serves members and customers in a timely fashion, including checking identification, accepting payment, and answering any questions that may arise
  • maintains cleanliness by cleaning bar surface, furniture, and equipment and returning used dishware to the bar or kitchen
  • maintains supplies by re-stocking liquors, wines, beer, and non-alcoholic ingredients and replacing beer barrels
  • reconciles the bar's cash register at the end of the shift
