Job Description

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants was founded on the belief that heartfelt, human connections make people's lives better, particularly those who work within their establishments. Originating in San Francisco in 1981, Kimpton redefined the boutique hotel experience by rejecting impersonal and generic hospitality standards. Instead, it created an environment where genuine connections and meaningful experiences flourish. This culture is a reflection of the company's entrepreneurial spirit and zest for life, welcoming diverse individuals who bring creativity, self-leadership, and a passion for enriching the lives of others. At Kimpton, employees aren't just workers but vital contributors to a community that values authenticity and individuality, transforming everyday hospitality into something extraordinary. The environment cultivated is lively, irreverent, and empowers its team members to shine by being their true selves.

The Bartender role at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is an exciting opportunity to engage with guests by crafting and serving beverages while delivering exceptional service. This position emphasizes creating personalized experiences and developing meaningful guest relationships to encourage repeat visits. Bartenders at Kimpton act as advocates for the bar and restaurant, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and cared for in a professional and timely manner. Responsibilities include greeting guests, accurately processing orders, preparing drinks with precision, managing hospitality supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized bar environment. The role also requires vigilance in monitoring guest behavior for intoxication or disruption and maintaining communication with team members and management. Flexibility is a key factor, as team members may be required to assume additional responsibilities beyond their primary duties.

Compensation for this role starts at $5.50 per hour, with the potential for variation based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and organizational needs. Kimpton fosters an inclusive workplace culture that celebrates diversity across races, ethnicities, ages, religions, physical abilities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and more. This commitment to embracing differences ensures a welcoming environment for both employees and guests.
