The Bartender role at Life Time is a vital position within the hospitality and customer service team. This hourly role comes with wages starting at $16.50 per hour, with potential increases up to $19.50 based on experience and qualifications. Bartenders at Life Time not only prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages but also play an integral part in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming atmosphere for members and guests. The role requires a thorough understanding of alcohol serving laws and the ability to follow recipes with precision to craft quality cocktails. Interaction with customers is a key aspect, with responsibilities including checking identification to ensure age compliance, answering questions, and providing timely service. Additionally, bartenders ensure that the bar environment meets high standards of cleanliness and orderliness by cleaning surfaces, furniture, and equipment, as well as restocking supplies such as liquors, wines, beers, and other ingredients. Responsibilities also extend to cash handling through reconciling the register at the end of shifts.

This position is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring physical stamina as it involves frequent bending, lifting of items weighing over 20 pounds, and prolonged periods of standing and moving throughout the café area. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 to 2 years of bartending experience
  • Certified to serve alcohol
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
  • Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs
  • Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the cafe for prolonged periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 to 2 years of bartending experience
  • Certified to serve alcohol
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
  • Experience with inventory and ordering preferred

Job Duties

  • Follows recipes in order to appropriately prepare cocktails and other drinks, including adding garnish
  • Serves members and customers in a timely fashion, including checking identification, accepting payment, and answering any questions that may arise
  • Maintains cleanliness by cleaning bar surface, furniture, and equipment and returning used dishware to the bar/kitchen
  • Maintains supplies by re-stocking liquors, wines, beer, and non-alcoholic ingredients and replacing beer barrels
  • Reconciles the bar's cash register at the end of the shift
