Based in Kansas City, Q39 has established a remarkable reputation for delivering craveable, memorable dining experiences, beautifully balancing traditional flavors with innovative culinary techniques. This specific role is for a Bartender, a vital position within Q39's front-of-house team. Bartenders at Q39 are instrumental in delivering a welcoming and engaging atmosphere at the bar, ensuring guests receive attentive and personalized service from the moment they arrive until their farewell. This role requires a blend of elevated beverage knowledge, accuracy, and genuine hospitality, as bartenders are expected to craft high-quality cocktails with efficiency and care, manage the bar area meticulously, and collaborate closely with servers and kitchen staff to orchestrate a seamless dining experience. The hourly wage for this position starts at $7.00 plus participation in a tip pool, reflecting the value Q39 places on rewarding excellent service.
Bartenders at Q39 possess expertise in a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine. Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of bartending experience in a full-service restaurant or bar
- proficiency with Toast POS or similar systems
- strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine
- excellent communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- comfortable standing and walking for extended periods (4-5 hours per shift)
- ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- guest-focused, team-oriented, and professional attitude
- understanding of responsible alcohol service and food safety practices
