Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior baking experience preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow recipes and production guidelines accurately
  • strong attention to detail
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • physical stamina for lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing/walking
  • willingness to wear required uniform and PPE
  • certification or willingness to obtain food safety certification

Job Qualifications

  • experience in baking or a related role preferred
  • established knowledge of baking procedures and compliance with sanitation regulations
  • certification required for acquiring food safety certification
  • mastery of basic mathematical skills and numeracy
  • exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • physical ability to manage lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking/standing
  • familiar with uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements

Job Duties

  • utilize standardized recipes and production guidelines to bake a variety of goods
  • arrange work surface with essential supplies and ingredients for baking
  • organize components by measuring, weighing, combining, chopping, and other preparation steps
  • work with baking gadgets like ovens, stovetops, and mixers
  • practice safe handling of utensils during cooking and preparation
  • adhere to guidelines for the safe storage of food products
  • clean and disinfect workspaces, tools, and utensils after use
  • prioritize exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude
  • follow safety protocols to implement food safety and sanitation practices
  • comply with established security guidelines to uphold organizational asset safety
