As an Applebee's Assistant Manager within Flynn Group, the role is dynamic and involves engagement in all aspects of daily restaurant operations. This position holds the responsibility of ensuring guests and staff experience a passionate and positive atmosphere every day. The Assistant Manager must exhibit strong leadership skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and excellent stress management to maintain high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Duties include overseeing staff performance, maintaining inventory, scheduling employees effectively, and ensuring safety, security, cleanliness, and sanitation standards are met consistently. The Assistant Manager will also play an important part in developing and training staff members, fostering a culture in alignment with Flynn Applebee’s values, and handling guest concerns promptly and professionally.

The position offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $19 to $23.50 per hour, which translates to approximately $54,340 to $67,200 annually based on a 50-hour work week. There is potential for monthly bonuses depending on the location, offering substantial earning opportunities. Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
  • ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
  • maintains departmental inventory levels
  • ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • maintains effective safety and security programs
  • promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • performs routine maintenance and immediately reports needed repairs to the General Manager/Area Director
  • promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates
  • promotes Flynn | Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • helps maintain a trained staff through effective use of employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of company policy and training systems
  • participates in the constant development of employees using One-on-One and performance documentation, and contributes to the completion of written evaluations
  • assesses the efficiency of employees, provides fair feedback regularly, and continually works with employees on their areas of development
  • monitors acceptable employee performance and documents situations that require or could lead to disciplinary or corrective action
  • assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
  • responsible for controlling cost in assigned department
  • compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines
  • drives bi-weekly / weekly food and liquor inventories at the AD/GM's request and is accountable for completion
  • responsible for preparing and submitting accurate daily paperwork
  • assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
  • provides a role model for managers and employees
  • develops self on all store related technology
  • must be willing and able to work in all positions and assist in a team member position as needed when in a restaurant, including cooking on the line, expo, seating guests, bartending
  • uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies
