The company operates across multiple business segments including energy and logistics, retail operations, supply chain management, technology and innovation, construction, maintenance, human resources, finance, sales, and marketing. Its energy and logistics division is among the top fuel suppliers, operating one of the largest tanker fleets and providing essential services to oil operations in the nation’s busiest basins.
Pilot Flying J, a brand under Pilot Company, is renowned for operating high-volume, quick service restaurants located within its travel centers, designed to meet the needs of travelers and commercial truck drivers throughout North America. The company prioritizes delivering excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness.
The role of Restaurant Assistant Manager at Pilot Flying J is critical to supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of these quick service restaurants. The Restaurant Assistant Manager works closely with the Restaurant General Manager to oversee team members, facilitate coaching and training, and ensure customer satisfaction. As a key leadership figure within the restaurant, the Assistant Manager is also responsible for stepping in during the absence of the General Manager and helping to create a positive, productive work environment. This management role demands excellent communication skills, leadership ability, and a strong dedication to maintaining high standards in food preparation and service.
The position is full-time with pay rates starting between $48,700.00 and $70,565.00 per year, reflecting the level of responsibility the role entails. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled individuals with prior food service management experience who seek to advance their careers within a reputable and expansive company. Additionally, Pilot Flying J fosters an inclusive workplace where all qualified applicants will receive consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected under applicable laws. The company also encourages military candidates to apply, recognizing the value of diverse experiences.

Successful candidates will gain valuable experience in restaurant management within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and benefit from a range of company-provided incentives and support programs. The company’s supportive culture and benefits package contribute to making Pilot Flying J an employer of choice in the travel and food service industry.
