Job Description
Flynn Group, established by Greg Flynn in 1999, began its journey with the acquisition of eight Applebee's restaurants. Over the course of more than two decades, Flynn Group expanded significantly by both building new stores and acquiring other franchise operators. This growth transformed Flynn Group into the world's largest Applebee's franchisee, overseeing over 460 Applebee's restaurants spread across 24 states. The company's robust foundation has empowered it to broaden its reach into additional brands, international markets, and various industries, further solidifying its prominence in the restaurant and fitness sectors.
Flynn Group is more than just a franchise operator; it is a diversified hospitality powerhouse managing a varied portfolio of iconic, globally recognized brands. These include not only Applebee's but also other major names such as Arby's, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Wendy's, and Planet Fitness. Flynn Group's central mission is to be the top operator within each brand it represents by consistently delivering exceptional customer experiences and fostering strong community relationships. The company prides itself on living its core values—Care Genuinely for People, Play like a Champion, and Win as One—which guide its business strategy, corporate culture, and employee engagement.
As an Applebee's Assistant Manager under Flynn Group, you will play a vital role in the operational success and guest satisfaction of your restaurant. This leadership position involves direct involvement in every facet of daily restaurant operations. You will act as a team leader, driving passion and dedication among both staff and guests to ensure outstanding service experiences every day. Your responsibilities will include managing staff, solving problems efficiently, and maintaining a positive, energetic environment where team members feel supported and guests feel valued.
This position requires resilience under pressure and a commitment to quality and safety standards. The Applebee's Assistant Manager will ensure that the restaurant meets company guidelines for customer service, food preparation, cleanliness, and safety compliance. You will cultivate a workplace culture aligned with Flynn Applebee's core values and support training and development to foster continuous improvement among employees.
Compensation for this role ranges from $18.18 to $25.71 per hour, equating to approximately $51,994 to $73,530 annually based on a 50-hour work week, with the possibility of earning additional monthly bonuses depending on location. Flynn Group offers a competitive wage structure complemented by profit sharing, bonuses, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, paid vacation, and sick leave. There is no fixed application deadline, reflecting Flynn Group's ongoing commitment to recruit dedicated talent.
Physically, this position requires standing and mobility during shifts lasting up to ten hours, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, is essential, as is basic reading and writing ability to facilitate communication and documentation within the restaurant. This role also demands proficiency with small tools and equipment. Flynn Group is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace that accommodates individuals with disabilities throughout the recruitment process and employment.
Joining Flynn Applebee's as an Assistant Manager means becoming part of a premier team renowned for its commitment to excellence, teamwork, and community engagement. It's an opportunity to build your management skills while contributing to the success and growth of an industry leader in the hospitality sector.
