The role of Assistant Manager at Zaxby's is critical to ensuring that each restaurant location delivers outstanding guest experiences while maintaining operational standards. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years management experience
  • Valid drivers license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Successful background check
  • Ability to interact cooperatively with others and possess strong leadership and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years management experience required
  • Restaurant management experience preferred
  • Must possess leadership qualities, organizational skills, and interpersonal ability

  • Successful completion of background check

Job Duties

  • Complete all training requirements including Zaxbys Assistant Manager Development Plan
  • Obtain Food Safety Certification and Manager Certification
  • Enhance guest experiences by ensuring team members exceed guest expectations
  • Ensure team members receive proper training including ongoing coaching and development
  • Create effective work schedules following company standards and local laws
  • Plan and delegate shift assignments including communicating expectations and adjusting as needed
  • Supervise and coach team members to perform at their highest level and achieve quarterly goals
  • Ensure consistent service, product quality, and cleanliness standards
  • Communicate performance concerns to General Manager
  • Assist with performance reviews and mentor team members
  • Create and maintain positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example
  • Handle and report guest and team member complaints, concerns, or injuries timely and respectfully
  • Ensure all processes, policies, and procedures are properly followed during daily operations
  • Maintain operational standards and compliance with Zaxbys guidelines
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines
  • Utilize management tools and keep accurate and current records
  • Maintain flexibility to perform beyond position parameters
  • Ensure team works safely and follows all safety guidelines and procedures
  • Report human resources and risk management concerns promptly to management
  • Escalate other concerns to supervisor when appropriate
  • Perform all duties necessary for proper restaurant operation
