Job Description

Our Downtown Location is a vibrant cocktail lounge that prides itself on creating an exceptional nightlife experience every day of the year, including holidays. Known for its lively atmosphere and high standards of service, this establishment operates late into the night, catering to a diverse clientele looking for quality drinks and superb hospitality in a welcoming environment. The location thrives on its commitment to delivering a memorable guest experience by combining a stylish ambiance with top-notch service. This bustling venue requires dedicated professionals who can manage the unique pace and demands of late-night operations while maintaining a strong team dynamic and exceptional guest relations.

The Front of House (FOH) Manager role at our Downtown cocktail lounge is a critical leadership position designed for hands-on managers who are passionate about hospitality and operational excellence. This role serves as the linchpin between the guest experience and the back-of-house operations, ensuring that every aspect of service runs smoothly and efficiently. As a FOH Manager, you will lead by example in a fast-paced environment, focusing on maintaining high standards of service and fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture.

You will be responsible for guiding and supporting servers, bartenders, and support staff throughout their shifts, ensuring consistency in service delivery and adherence to company policies and legal requirements. Your leadership will set the tone on the floor, promoting professionalism, warmth, and accountability among the team. Problem-solving and quick decision-making are essential, as you will address any guest concerns or operational challenges in real-time to maintain an outstanding guest experience.

Operational responsibilities include managing floor flow, optimizing table turns, and coordinating guest seating with hosts to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction. You will oversee staffing levels and schedules, adjusting as necessary to meet the fluctuating demands of the venue. Thorough attention to cleanliness, setup, and reset of dining and lounge areas will be key to maintaining an inviting atmosphere.

In addition to operational oversight, you will assist in inventory monitoring, restocking bar and service areas, and supporting bar prep when needed. Financial duties include assisting with cash handling processes such as comps, voids, and accurate reporting, as well as managing safe counts, deposits, and drawer accuracy. You will also ensure strict adherence to cash handling policies and responsible beverage service laws to maintain compliance and protect the establishment.

This role requires flexibility to work evenings, late hours, and holidays, reflecting the nature of the cocktail lounge industry. Candidates must be comfortable with the dynamic and sometimes unpredictable environment of a high-volume nightlife venue. If you thrive in a leadership role that blends guest engagement, team development, and operational expertise in a fast-paced setting, this position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career in hospitality management within a renowned downtown hotspot.
