The community is committed to fostering an inclusive culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, upholding a mission that centers on improving the lives of those who live and work within it. Employees at Brooksby Village benefit from a supportive atmosphere that encourages personal and professional growth, flexible work-life balance, and access to extensive wellness and educational programs. The company prides itself on providing a workplace free of unlawful discrimination and harassment, ensuring equal opportunity for all team members.

The role of Assistant General Manager at Northfields, the new fast casual dining venue within Brooksby Village's community dining program, is a pivotal position that supports the daily operations of the restaurant. This venue offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner service and emphasizes high-quality culinary experiences paired with exceptional customer service. As an Assistant General Manager, you will lead a talented team, oversee both dining room and café operations, and ensure that every mealtime runs smoothly. This role demands strong leadership abilities, a deep understanding of food service management, adeptness with computer systems, and a passionate commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Compensation for this position ranges from $58,000 to $72,000 annually, complemented by an annual bonus opportunity. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for crucial functions such as scheduling, hiring, training, coaching, and developing restaurant and café staff. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and upholding company standards in food portioning and presentation are key aspects of the job. The role also includes active participation in initiatives designed to boost employee and resident satisfaction, aligning with Brooksby Village’s mission of creating a thriving community.

Working at Brooksby Village means accessing comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, wellness reimbursements, telemedicine, personal health coaching, paid time off including company-paid volunteer hours, onsite medical centers providing wellness and sick care, and a 30 percent discount on food and drinks at on-site dining venues. Additionally, employees receive education assistance, certification reimbursements, and access to a vast online learning library with over 6,000 courses aimed at skill enhancement and career growth. Opportunities for advancement are abundant as the company expands with new community developments.

This employment opportunity requires a minimum of three years’ experience in dining room management, service, and sanitation, with flexibility to substitute up to one year of dietetics experience. Candidates must hold a current Serv-Safe certification or state-specific equivalent and have availability to work weekends and holidays. The Assistant General Manager must demonstrate proven abilities to manage multiple venues and large teams, with the physical capability to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Adherence to local state regulations is mandatory and may supersede some job requirements.

Joining Brooksby Village means becoming part of a mission-driven team dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors through exceptional dining experiences and compassionate care. If you are a motivated leader with a passion for hospitality and senior living, this role offers a rewarding career path with competitive pay, a robust benefits package, and a supportive work environment committed to your success and well-being.
