The role of a Team Member at Perkins Restaurant & Bakery is centered on delivering friendly, efficient, and timely service to guests. Employees in this position are expected to provide genuine hospitality and create memorable dining experiences for guests by ensuring 100% guest satisfaction on every visit. The Team Member is the face of Perkins in the dining area, responsible for greeting guests warmly, anticipating their needs, offering informed menu suggestions, and ensuring that food orders are accurate and served at the proper temperature. This role requires a professional appearance, a positive and friendly attitude, and adherence to company policies, procedures, and performance standards.
In addition to guest interactions, the Team Member performs various operational tasks including maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining and pantry areas, executing service cycles, supporting team members, and communicating with the management regarding any issues or opportunities for improvement. No previous experience is required as basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service are taught through in-house training.
This position operates under the supervision of the Manager on Duty who provides training and direction on specific procedures and assignments. Compensation for this role ranges from $15.00 to $25.00 per hour, reflecting Perkins' commitment to rewarding their team members appropriately.

Job Requirements
- no prior experience required
- must be well-groomed and practice good personal hygiene
- must report to work in clean and proper uniform
- basic skills such as sanitation, safety and customer service can be taught through in-house training
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- must be at least 16 years old or as required by local labor laws

Job Duties
- greet guests in a courteous and respectable way when seated at station
- welcome guests immediately upon seating with a non-scripted greeting
- offer menu suggestions, answer questions and anticipate guests' needs using acquired menu knowledge
- check completed food orders for accuracy, appearance and temperature and deliver promptly
- show genuine hospitality and engage guests to ensure 100% satisfaction
- keep tables, stations, pantry line area and dining room common areas clean
- attend to additional guest needs or requests
- maintain cleanliness of stations and pantry and perform side work during downtime
- execute the service cycle and team responsibilities at all times
- communicate with Manager on Duty and coworkers regarding product/service deficiencies, equipment or safety problems
- write guest checks and operate POS equipment according to company policies
- assist team members by maintaining service stations and restocking supplies
- maintain cleanliness of dining room and pantry area
