Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
  • capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • able to work in environments with exposure to heat, steam, cold, and cleaning chemicals
  • good vision and communication skills
  • ability to read, write, and perform basic addition and subtraction
  • able to follow OSHA and health department standards
  • capacity to work under pressure and maintain cleanliness standards
  • flexible availability for shift work

Job Qualifications

  • basic knowledge of sanitation, safety, and customer service
  • ability to communicate clearly
  • capable of performing basic math operations

Job Duties

  • Bake and prepare bakery items according to company standards
  • label and date all trays of baked items
  • follow proper food storage and safety procedures
  • set up and maintain bakery display cases using merchandising techniques
  • clean and sanitize bakery equipment, prep areas, and storage areas
  • control food costs and ensure products are accurately portioned
  • use FIFO standards when preparing items
  • maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen and bakery areas
  • follow safety procedures concerning food handling and storage
  • communicate with management about product, service, equipment, or safety issues
  • assist team members and support front-of-house staff
  • assist in dishwashing and restocking
  • provide excellent guest service through cooperation with staff
