Job Requirements
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Ability to work on AM, PM, weekend, and holiday shifts as required by operational needs
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service standards
- Willingness and ability to obtain Food Handlers Card within 30 days if not already certified
- Ability to multi-task
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to serve guests face-to-face with a strong focus on guest satisfaction
Job Qualifications
- Possess a basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards of comparable hotel, guest relations, and etiquette
- Experience within a hotel or resort environment is preferred
- Valid current Food Handlers Card or willingness and ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
- Responsible Beverage Certified (TiPS) (Title IV) is preferred
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to serve guest needs through verbal face-to-face interactions
Job Duties
- Curates craft cocktails and/or beverages to guest specifications
- Describes all bar items including methods of preparation and prices as needed
- Use proper shaking, mixing, and stirring techniques using Boston Shaker, Bar Spoon, Beakers, Jiggers, and Strainers
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the surrounding area, events, and directions to enhance guests local experience
- Works with guests to accommodate special requests and special dietary needs
- Utilize suggestive selling on established menu items or specials to maximize food and beverage revenues
- Serve menu items to guests in a prompt and courteous manner
- Performs pre- and post-shift side work such as set-up, breakdown, and condiments management
- Responds to guest inquiries and special requests promptly, notifying supervisor of complaints or unusual situations
- Manage cash handling tasks including balancing bank at the end of each shift and calculating tip outs
- Serves guests quickly and courteously at assigned station using appropriate service techniques
- Observes guests to fulfill any additional requests and completes assigned side work
- Familiarizes self with all items on a daily basis
- Cleans away service after events
- Follows all standard food handling, TIPS, Title IV, sanitation, and health department guidelines
